A message from Interim Superintendent Larson-Shidler:
Due to anticipated high temperatures and building conditions, Tuesday June 4 the district will operate on a half day.
Classroom staff and students will be dismissed per their building half day schedule.
Administrators and office staff will work a normal day.
Hamtramck Public Schools is going on a half day schedule Monday, May 20, due to temperatures. Based on the weather forecast temperature graph and having extra hours, an early release is appropriate. We will check the temperatures in the buildings tomorrow afternoon to judge for Tuesday.
Due to the need for the city to shut off water to DW/KMS again tomorrow, Thursday, May 9, DW and KMS will shift to virtual learning . Please reach out to your classroom teacher(s) for further direction.
There is no school on Friday, May 10, due to professional development for staff. DW and KMS will return to learning in person on Monday, May 13!
